Through the Looking Glass

I'm Liz and sometimes I second guess myself.
I like to think of myself as a very open-minded person. I accept just about anyone, and have a huge heart (which is also my biggest flaw). I'm as honest as they come and all I ask if for pure honesty back. I've been wronged more then I can count and my trust for anyone if very frail, if you think you can change that be my guest.

I hate that one statement from you can ruin my entire fucking day.
I hate that I care about you still, and let you get under my skin.
I hate that you think you can do what you want, but I can’t.
Sometimes I really think I never hated myself, that was just a decoy for how I really felt, that maybe I hated you ever since that first summer together.
Today has been a day of empowerment I think, I realized I have so much life to live and I have lots of people who care about me and I don’t need you, in fact I don’t think I ever did I just let you convince me that I wasn’t good enough, pretty enough, thin enough….

What a stellar realization, I can’t believe it took me so long to see, it was never me, it was always you.
